After School School Supervision 2:50PM-3:20PM
Tardy: After 8:15AM - Please come to the office and get a tardy pass for your child.

Transportation Changes 
Transportation Home: Changes must be submitted by a note to the teacher or call the school at 488-7322. Changes cannot be made after 2:15 PM.

All volunteers/visitors must sign in at the front office and receive a volunteer/visitor badge.

  • 2017 NENE FEST 5K & Fun Run
    Saturday, April 29 - Optimist Park


    Registration for the 5K starts at 6:45 AM with the race starting at 8:00 AM. The 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 9:00 AM.


    You can register for the race online here or complete a registration form and return it with registration fee to the school's front office. 


    Entry Fees: On or before 4/26/17 - $15 (adult) and $10 (12 and under), the day of the race - $20 (adult) and $15 (12 and under), and Hartsfield elementary students - $5. The post-race festivities include fresh food, drinks, and awards. All proceeds will go to Hartsfield Elementary School (past funds were used for playground and free play equipment).     FSA testing is over for our third and fourth grade students.   Only fifth grade testing remains, and these dates are below. 

    FIFTH GRADE will take the Grade 5 Mathematics assessment on April 25th and 26th.  Grade 5 SSA Science May 2nd and 3rd  Click Here for letter to parents.

    Your student will have an opportunity to participate in a practice test to become familiar with the computer-based testing platform, item types, and response formats he or she will see on the FSA assessments. If you or your student would like to review the computer-based practice test at home, the practice tests and answer keys are available at

  • 5th Grade Proof of Residency

    5th Grade Parents Only!  It is that time of year when ALL 5th graders are asked to provide current proof of residency, even if there are no changes, to our school registrar, Ms. Bryant, by April 28.   Current proof of residency must be done in order to ensure a smooth transition to middle school. Typically, if this information is not on file, students will not receive their class schedules in August.  For more information check out the attached letter

  • Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day
    April 27, 2017 from 7:45 AM – 2:50 PM

    Please return the Participation form to your child’s teacher by April 27, 2017. Students in grades 3-5 may participate.

    In order for the student to receive an excused absence, the parent must have submitted the attached form to the school prior to April 27th and must also submit to the school a written statement on the employer’s letterhead verifying that the student participated in the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

  • Hartsfield Parents Filled the Box!











    Leon County Schools teamed with Second Harvest of the Big Bend and WCTV launched a new way to encourage students to feed hungry kids one sandwich at a time.   Hartsfield collected peanut butter and jelly through April 5th and Ms. Howard's and Ms. Reynolds' first grade students turned in over 130 jars of peanut butter and jelly! Thank you parents for “spreading the love” with your generous contributions.

  • Front Office Building Closed for Makeover

    Our Front Office Building is getting a makeover and will be closed starting Monday, March 13. All Parents and Visitors please check in at our Temporary Front Office located at the front main entrance. Parents, know that safety is our main concern so PLEASE walk with your child to the Temporary Front Office as we are in the middle of our "Makeover" which is an ongoing construction site.

  • Lafayette Paseo Multimodal Corridor Project

        January 2017 - late spring 2017

    To improve pedestrian safety and mobility along the Lafayette Street Service Road and East Indianhead Drive, the City of Tallahassee will soon begin construction of the Lafayette Paseo Multimodal Corridor Project.  The work mainly includes construction of sidewalks, storm drain,  inlets, water and sewer adjustments, and repaving of the roadways within the project limits.
